So even though I’ve finished my website, I’m still helping everybody else out with theirs. My friend was having trouble with his because he had been trying to do the whole thing in InDesign without knowing quite how to save it as a website and get it work. So showed him how to do it in Dreamweaver. Then the entire lab got the idea that I knew what I was doing and before I knew it I was helping a lot of other people. I guess I could use the karma points, but still, they’re not helping me get past my finals any quicker.

I finally finished up my Flash website today, after 60+ hours overall of intense work on it. Pretty ridiculous. What’s funny is that it’s based on AXE-Brand deodorant, and there are some innuendos in it, and the policy for using SCAD webspace is that there cannot be anything which can be interpreted as sexual harrassment. As long as it lasts through Monday’s final class, I don’t care if they pull it. It just needs to last till 1:30 on Monday afternoon. That is my ONLY request. But I doubt they will take it down since it IS class related. But we shall see.

Tomorrow I finish chiseling my final project for 3D Design. I’d say I have an hour or two left on it, not any more. Not too bad. And I have to call the taxi company since I’m headed home early Tuesday morning. Boston, here I come.

So I was talking to this senior in my Public Speaking class today. She’s an animation major and she was telling me about the insane amount of work she is putting into her final project. She’s not even working with a team, she’s doing it completely on her own. And that’s just animation. It makes me worried to high hell about what kind of quality I’ll be able to get out of NightRise by my senior year. I’m watching Gamers Week 2.0 on MTV and seeing how much CliffyB was worrying that people would like Gears. He’s been in the business for a long time, and definitely my biggest idol in terms of game design. And he had a team to back him up the whole time. How am I supposed to get people to help me out when everybody at this school just wants to do their own thing?

I started writing chapter 2. I’ve decided to take an even darker, even more mature approach to it. What’s that mean? More violence, more demons, more trippy halluncinations. Oh, not to mention some torture and some sex for good measure. Separated. Don’t worry. I’m not that depraved. But I’m looking forward to the kinds of directions I can bring it in, directions that possibly no one in the video game industry has dared to go. More of a SAW type feeling than a 24 type feeling. Should be interesting…

So… I’m thinking of starting chapter 2 just out of sheer boredom. I’m not getting work done on the game itself, although I’ve got my modelling class next quarter so I assume I’ll be able to get work done there. Other than that, slow progress. Just gettin’ ready to go home. I’ve really got nothing to write. Deal with it.
